WCS Contests Registration Deadlines Friday, 5PM - All Friday Contests Saturday, 10AM - All Pro-Am Strictly Contests Saturday, 12 Noon - All J&J Contests (Except ProAm J&J) Saturday, 6PM - All Saturday Night Contests   ***Make sure you are in the ballroom 15 minutes before the scheduled start of your contests*** ***to avoid being scratched from the field!***

Contest Definitions/Descriptions: Jack and Jill: Compete with randomly selected partner. Music is chosen by Contest DJ. Also referred to as J&J. Newcomer: for those with no WSDC points Pro/Am: Compete with your Professional instructor. Strictly: Compete with the partner of your choice. Music is selected by the Contest DJ Masters Routine: The partner of your choice and your choice of music. The couple have pre-planned a routine to their music in this solo performance category. Rising Star Routine Division: Compete with the partner of your choice with a choreographed dance routine. Music is selected by the contestants and must be turned in ahead of time of the contest Masters:Indicates an age level division of competition. In this case, each contestant must be 50 years old or more. Golden Ticket Tournament: This is a new J&J Style Contest. A preliminary round determines who will become part of the tournament. Partners are selected at random and you will keep that partner throughout the tournament. Each round will pit two couples against each other in a head-to-head comparison by the judges. After the couples dance, the judges determine who won and the majority of judges determine the winner. The winner moves on to the next round. When the round is over, a new round begins until 2 couples are left to face off against each other. The winner of that dance wins the tournament. COMPETITORS REQUIRED TO HAVE A WEEKEND PASS EACH PRO LIMITED TO 5 AMATEURS PER CONTEST LEVEL
